My Carol's Daughter Experience Thus Far

I've tried a few products from Carol's Daughter before but not a product line together. In the past I never had a great experience, but when they had they're sale at the beginning of the year, I decided to try their Hair Milk and Monoi lines.

I first tried the Monoi starter kit, because it promised to strengthen and prevent breakage. The shampoo was VERY drying, the conditioner was ok but did not put back the moisture that the shampoo took away. There's also a mask in the kit that wasn't that great. After the wash it was visibly drier. All in all I've had cheaper products that do a better job.

As for the Hair Milk line I got the Curl Refresher, Curling Custard, and the original Hair Milk itself. The Curl Refresher is good if you curls have become greasy or weighed down, but my curls don't have that problem,  so it just dried my hair out. The Curling Custard is good but they're other products out there that can do the same thing and in some cases better.

I would say that these products would be good for some textures but not all, I have mostly 4 b hair and was disappointed with the lack of moisture that these products gave me.

What a week!!

Geesh!! Last week was a war! I had a confrontation with a coworker after I saw him mistreating another employee. Suffice to say, he won't be doing that ish anymore bahaha!
Anywho defending my coworker made me feel "haunted" (restless), as we would say in J.A.
So with my creative juices flowing I created these 2 pieces: Krobo Warrior (above) and the Warrior Y necklace (below)
Warrior Y Necklace

One is a major statement piece, while the other is a more understated version.
After I completed these pieces all I could say was "Woooosaaah!" Lol. I hope you guys like them *crossies* :D Peeeeeaaace!!

Julie in a cup :-p

Ok so I don't blog that much, however, on June 4,2011 I concocted a cocktail that I will now call "Julie in a cup". It consists of a shot of Crown Royal or Grey Goose with a splash of ginger ale. Why has such a simple cocktail obtained a special place in my heart? Because its so simple but gets the job done, tastes like soda but gets you stealthily nice! That is all. Now back to your regularly scheduled program.
